Hi all. I have been seeing a lot of clients lately who are talented and bright, but they say things like, “I would love to be a music producer, but that will never happen,” or “I would love to make a living doing (whatever talent they possess), but I’ll never be able to do that.” I know from experience that if you have realistic goals, even though they seem far away right now, you can achieve your dream job or dream life. It takes time (meaning patience), hard work, motivation and perseverance, but it CAN happen! You may have to move out of the area to go to school, or go where the jobs are, or look at things differently, but you are the only one holding you back from achieving your dreams! Don’t limit yourself! I could give one hundred examples of people I know that did what they wanted to do despite the odds against them, me included! I think that counseling can help you make dramatic changes in your life. Something happens in therapy; that’s why it is called “talk therapy” because during psychotherapy oftentimes things are revealed to you that you hadn’t thought before. You begin to understand yourself in a new light, and develop succinct future goals with me, as a psychologist trained to help you self-actualize or be the best person you can be. Call me if you are interested. We will work on you and your life, and together, come up with innovative new ideas! Have a great day…and remember: “Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life.”
